Nippon Express is one of the leading moving companies for moving individuals and companies into and around Japan. It specialises in company and government moves for employees and their families arriving and leaving Japan. Nippon Express is also known for its global freight forwarding expertise, shipping goods around the world.

Nippon Express started in 1937 as was 53% government owned. After the second world war, the company was privatised. In 1949 the company started international freight forwarding, acting as agents for various international airlines. By 1958, Nippon Express had opened its first overseas office in New York, by 1991 there were 97 offices in the United States.

In 1973 the company bought its first container vessel and started a cargo service between Tokyo and Tomakomai.

Today Nippon Express has offices and facilities in 260 cities in 42 countries and employs 36,700 people in Japan and another 16,000 overseas.
