However, we do actively and passively collect and process data which we feel you should be aware of. All website pages and data are sent using secure SSL technology.
All our active data processing activities (see below) are done on a consent basis and our passive data processing activities (see below) are performed on a legitimate interest basis.
MoverDB.com processes several types of data for several different purposes, using several third-party partners and platforms.
Active Data Processing Activities
Our primary data processing activity is helping people get quotes for moving internationally via a free, no obligation quote service. It is intended to be used by individuals both inside and outside of the EU.
Please also be aware, MoverDB.com does not provide quotes itself but has instead partnered with International Removals Direct, TriGlobal B.V. and MyMovingLoads to provide the quotes. Each them in turn works directly with their own set of moving companies.
Therefore, we act as both a data controller (since we send them data) and data processor (since they inform use what data they need and decide how to process it). All data we collect on their behalf(s) is required to help filter suppliers that may be right for you. If you would prefer not share certain information, you are free to do so, and can still find generic pricing information here.
Which company you deal on how your data is processed with will depend on both which form you use and where you are moving from.

- The form data is then sent via a secure SSL webhook to Zapier.com, which helps us to process the data via what they call a Zap.
- Once the data is received by Zapier.com, the Zap filters all the data collected to either International Removals Direct (moving from the UK) or TriGlobal B.V. (moving from anywhere else in the world) via a secure SSL webhook. They will then verify your data then send your request to up to 6 relevant moving companies who may in turn contact you via phone and/or e-mail. You are under no obligation to get purchase anything and may inform them you would not like to proceed. Moreover, you can also ask us to cancel your request by using our contact form.
- After the data is sent, the Zap will send the e-mail address entered in the form to Mailchimp via a Zapier integration. This will then trigger an automatic e-mail that confirms your request and again explains what to expect. It will then send 1 follow-up e-mail about 5 days after your request giving you more information about moving money overseas along with your goods. This is sent as we’ve found that many people are confused about their various options when it comes to sending money overseas. You can easily unsubscribe from all e-mails by clicking on the unsubscribe link in either the top or bottom of each e-mail, which will cancel all future e-mails. We also routinely delete e-mails at least once per year.
- At this stage the Zap is complete and Zapier will automatically delete all data within 90 days. This gives us time to help sort our any issues, but means data is not stored longer than necessary.
- We will retain your e-mail address (and nothing else) pfr up to 1 year via Mailchimp.
- International Removals Direct and TriGlobal B.V. will retain information for as long as their internal policies warrant. If you have any concerns about the data they may hold, please get in contact with us and we will do our best to help.
