Evergreen Marine Company Profile

The Evergreen Group’s first company, Evergreen Marine Corporation, was established in Taiwan on 1^st September 1968 by Dr. Yung-Fa Chang with one second hand cargo vessel. Evergreen began container shipping in 1975 and by 1985 the company had become the world’s largest in container shipping.

It now operates under the brand name ‘Evergreen Line’, together with Evergreen Marine Corp. (Taiwan) Ltd., Evergreen Marine (UK) Ltd., Evergreen Marine (Hong Kong) Ltd., Italia Marittima S.p.A. and Evergreen Marine (Singapore) Pte Ltd.

Evergreen lives up to its name with its largest ships being the 7024 TEU S-series vessels which are specifically engineered to make the smallest possible impact on the environment.
